One year later......The factories were built and Thul was never the same again.The air was filled with toxic ,weird things started happening around Thuland the land became infertile.The villagers never got the jobs they wanted and chemical waste was dumped into the river,killing off the fish and along with them,the source of villager's income.So eventually,the smell of the toxic air and the lack of income drove everyone away from Thul.Hari's farm failed as a result and he never had any customers who came to him to have their watch mended for there were others who were better and more experience than him,life reverted to hardships and struggle for Hari's family.They gathered up whatever money they had and rented a small room in Bombay.Hari went back to the Sri Krishna eating house while his father managed to get a job as a cleaner at a company,their meagre income was hardly enough to support their familie's needs.
