*Teachers read this,friends,ignore this*
Today, our english teacher gave us a comprehension exercise to do.We had to finished the ending to an ambiguous story with an unspecified ending,it was very fun to do as we could be as creative as possible. The story was about a trial system,in which the convict would be placed in an arena with two doors. One of the doors cntained a tiger and the other contained a fair lady who would make a worthy bride for the convict in the case he was found innocent. It was the privelege and the duty of the convict to open either one of the doors,if he opened the door to the tiger,he would be killed by it.If he opened the door to the lady,he would be married to the lady on the spot. Now,our main character/convict was the lover of the princess, the princess had bribed the warden to tell her which door contained which and on the day of the trial, she signalled to her lover to open the right(as in the right-hand side, not the correct one)door. It is here the story ends, either way,the princess loses her lover,so it didn't matter to her which door he opened. Here are some of my suggestions for my endings:
1)The guy opens the door to the tiger and then kills it,admitting he is the son of a god and a mortal afterwards
2)The guy opens the door to the tiger and then fights with it before castrating it,admitting he is the son of a god and a mortal
3)The guy opens the door to the tiger, just before the tiger pounces on him,he stops a enchanted clock and this freezes all time around him,he then turns back the clock and goes back to the past, opening the left door this time
and etc
Which one i chose, you would know when i hand up the assignment
